Second Year PhD Students
Being part of the University of Adelaide means there are a number of excellent additional resources available to you.
Complete an Annual Review of Progress
It is the student's responsibility to organise a meeting during October with your supervisors and your School Postgraduate Coordinator, Discipline Postgraduate Coordinator or Cohort Postgraduate Coordinator, and to ensure that the Annual Review form is submitted to the Graduate Centre by the due date of 31st October. Failure to return the Annual Review form by the 31st October will result in suspended candidature.
Research students who submit a thesis to the Adelaide Graduate Centre on or before 31 October, or, whose candidature lapses on or before 31 October, or, who withdraw from candidature on or before 31 October are not required to undertake the review.
All other students, including those who are full-time, half-time, remote, on leave of absence, study leave, or writing up outside, must participate in the 2012 Annual Review of Progress.
You may download the Annual Review Package from the Adelaide Graduate Centre.
Any queries regarding the Annual Review of Progress may be directed to Kim Crawford at the Adelaide Graduate Centre.
Progress seminar during your second year of candidature
The Seminar must go for 20 to 25 minutes plus question time. The background to your research topic, hypotheses and aims, methodology and any results and discussion should be included. You will need to contact your cohort postgraduate coordinator to ensure they have scheduled a session for you to present your seminar.
