Undergraduate

Charlotte de Crespigny Prize

The Charlotte de Crespigny Prize is awarded to a third year graduate nurse who has demonstrated academic and clinical excellence in regards to nursing people with mental health and alcohol and other drug related health conditions, wherever they present for health care. Professor Charlotte de Crespigny has donated this prize to acknowledge the important role that all Registered Nurses have in responding well to patients affected by mental health and/or alcohol and other drug problems.

Margaret Grace McNair AM Award

The Margaret Grace McNair AM Award is awarded to a third year graduate nurse who has completed the Bachelor of Nursing in the minimum time and who demonstrated an excellence in clinical practice and academic achievement. The prize is being offered by the Nurses Memorial Foundation of SA in recognition of Margaret Grace McNair’s contribution to Nursing in SA.

Edeline ‘Tommy’ Lyon Prize

The Edeline 'Tommy' Lyon Prize is an encouragement award for a student in the Bachelor of Nursing program who has demonstrated a standard of excellence in the first two years of the Bachelor of Nursing program and who demonstrated a high degree of skills and a caring and professional approach to clinical practice in aged care. The prize is being offered by the Nurses Memorial Foundation of SA.

Kitson Prize

The Kitson Prize is named after the founding head of the School of Nursing, Professor Alison Kitson, and is awarded to the Master of Clinical Nursing student who has demonstrated a high standard of academic achievement with the highest Grade Point Average of Distinction or above in the program. This prize is offered by the School of Nursing.

Roshan Award

The Roshan Award is awarded to the student in the Master of Clinical Nursing who has demonstrated the largest improvement in their academic performance. This award honours the late Master of Clinical Nursing student, Roshan Wijeratne, who came to Australia to better his and his family’s lives. This award is offered by the School of Nursing.

Pearson Prize

The Pearson Prize is named after the founding head of the Department of Clinical Nursing, Professor Alan Pearson, and is awarded to the student who has the highest average mark across all courses in a Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science program. 

Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Award

The Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Award is awarded to the student who has achieved a high standard of academic achievement with a minimum of achievement at Distinction level or who has the highest Grade Point Average across the Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Mental Health Nursing).
