Psychology Students' Association

The Psychology Students’ Association is a club run by Psychology students from the University of Adelaide (affectionately known as “The Psychos”).

The club was originally formed in 2002 and has continued to grow since, with the support of the School of Psychology.

The main aim of the PSA is to bring an exciting social element to the study of psychology at the University of Adelaide, and to facilitate much-needed support networks between students.

The activities of the PSA are diverse, being both social and academic in nature. Our past social activities have included pub nights, barbecues and the annual pub-crawl, culminating with the inaugural Psychology Dinner, a whole school event involving both students and staff.

The academic activities have mostly taken the form of lectures presented by invited speakers in specialist areas of psychology or information sessions about psychology pathways.

The general atmosphere of the PSA is quite relaxed. Involvement from its members is strongly encouraged, whether that involvement is in the form of joining or assisting the committee, or attending events.

Membership

The Psychology Students' Association is just $5 for the year.

Members receive member discounts and freebies at events, and can be added to our contact list so that we can inform them about upcoming events.

Membership is open to all students currently enrolled in Psychology (undergraduate or postgraduate), or graduates with a major in Psychology, and to all staff members of the School of Psychology.

17th and 24th of March 11am at the Walter Young Garden (Opposite Lower Napier)
PSA members eat free. Membership can be purchased on the day.

1st April & Drink specials

PJ O'Briens / 7 - 8pm, $5 selected pints of beer/cider, base spirits, house wine and bubbles

The Austral / 8 - 9pm, $5 base sprits

Little Pub / 9 - 10pm, $4.50 base spirits, $4.00 draft/cider, $5 jagerbombs/selected whisky

Blackbull / 10 - 11pm, $5 west end, base shots, skittle bombs, $3 blackbull special shot

Dog n Duck / 11pm - late, $5 vodka, pussy shot, skittle bombs and base beer/cider

Zambrero ~ both Rundle St and Hindley St all night, waiting for confirmation on specials but it looks like $5 beer and 10% burrito
