Information for Current Students
Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences degrees
The new Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced) degrees will be available from semester 1, 2017. Note that:
- required Level I and Level II courses for the new degrees will be available in 2017
- the majority of required Level III courses will first be available in 2018
Some students will be able to transfer to the new degrees if they wish to, including all current first years, while the majority of students who have studied for more than a year will be able to complete their current program with minor modifications.

What do current students need to do?
To best make use of the information we have provided, students are advised to do the following:
- Familiarise themselves with the information booklet that has previously been provided; this includes information about the program structure of the degrees, and descriptions of the core courses and new courses that comprise the 7 Majors that will be available in the new degrees.
- Check how many units you have completed and expect to complete by end of 2016 at Access Adelaide.
- Refer to the information relevant to their situation presented through this website.
- If you are unsure if you are able to transfer to the new degree, or want to discuss your situation further, you can speak to a Program Advisor by making a booking.
- Students who cannot or do not wish to transfer need take no further action, and will continue to enrol under their current program in 2017.
- Students wishing to submit an application to transfer will be able to do so by the end of August. Students should refer to the further information provided about the transfer process to understand what will be required.
