• all courses passed that count towards your current program will be credited towards the new equivalent program;
• you will transfer into Level II of the new degree, and will be able to choose courses that will form the basis for the Major you are interested in completing (in the new degree, you will choose a SINGLE Major only); and
• you will be required to enrol in the Level II core course for the new degree, and have the option of choosing to also enrol in the Level I core course (as the new degree permits up to 30 units of Level I courses).

To assist you in understanding what your program of study will look like for the future if you do transfer, you can refer to the indicative Study Plans we have prepared, which list the compulsory courses required for completion of each major (each document contains study plans for all seven majors as well as the relevant core course).

After considering the information in the Study Plans, you should browse the FAQs section, as the answers provided contain useful information for all students. Students wishing to request a transfer should refer to the transfer process for further information.

• you will be able to complete your current program of study, including your current major(s) of choice, with some minor modifications to the courses that you will study
• you will not be able to enrol in some of the courses in the new programs.

The introduction of the new degrees will mean that some new courses will be available, replacing some existing ones, and some current courses will no longer be offered (while most other current courses will remain unchanged).

Where a current course will cease to be offered in 2017 or 2018, we have:

(i) approved a replacement course (or choice of courses) that can be considered equivalent to the course that will cease to be offered and is available for enrolment in place of that course, or

(ii) indicated that no equivalent exists; in this situation, the remaining courses listed will still permit students to complete the required amount of study.

Study Plans have been developed for each of the current Majors to assist you in understanding what your program of study will look like if you choose to remain in the current degree.  The Study Plans provide a guide to what courses will available in 2017 and 2018.
